Gracie
Hello Alice,
Welcome to our group. You are doing the right thing. If you are having problems regardless of any ruptures it would be in your BEST interest to have them out enbloc. The textured implants had the disadvantage of a higher rupture rate and also of shedding and migrating to other organs. Hopefully, once out you will see a great improvement in your symptoms.
I see B2N has given you some good information for you to check out. I also have th name of a surgeon that some of our girls have used and have been happy with. Here is his info too.

Let us know how you are doing and what you decide. We are here to help.
Best Regards,Grace

Welcome to the Group Alice,
Congratulations on choosing a surgeon and setting your E-Day!
I am so glad that you found us. I remember well the relief at finding this group and talking with others who fully understood my jumble of feelings. How wonderful that you’ve been given a very recent first-hand recommendation for your surgeon. That is the beauty of this group...we are here for each other. No one has to do this process in isolation.
Seems some surgeon use/or do not use drains as matter of course. I had drains for 7 days. I like that your surgeon explained his approach to using drains and was willing to answer all your questions. Speaking of questions, this is a great place to ask them. Also, when we share our own experience it may help someone else. Sometimes someone will say something that seems inconsequential to the majority of members; but it may be a missing piece of the puzzle for us.
You’ve landed in a safe place,
Aida
