Hi, I'm just in the beginning stages of preparing for implant removal. My biggest fear is having deformed/deflated breasts. I am 53 years old and had them put in when I was 22. The implants themselves are very small. I had the surgery done as I was very small chested and after breast feeding my son, my chest was concave. Guess my issue is that I am a lot heavier now than in my 20s and worry that if I remove the implants that it will looks like I have a couple of udders on my chest. While I really don't want to keep them in, after numerous surgeries over the years for capsular contraction, numerous implant replacement, etc. guess I should be happy to be rid of them, but guess I don't want to look like I'm 90 when I have them removed. Hate to admit that I'm a little bit shallow in that respect. I can't afford to have a breast lift so will just be doing the explant which is covered under OHIP here in Toronto, Ontario Canada. Other than numerous revisions due to capsular contraction, I haven't had any major health issues. It would be wonderous to be able to hug someone without pulling away because I feel like a freak with two hard rocks where my boobs used to be. Can anyone share a similar story with hopefully a good outcome.
