En bloc is removing the implant, scar capsule and all. The scar capsule is the tissue that forms around the implant The body has a defense strategy when an invading foreign object(implant) enters. Its plan of attack is to surround the enemy (implant) and wall it off from the other healthy tissue. This capsule can often times, contain silicone gel, tissue debris, etc. The shorter the dwell time of the implant, the less scar capsule there usually is. In your case, your capsule may be quite thin. Your surgeon would know this and proceed accordingly. You are young and should do well post op. Any other questions?
