Hi Angelee,

Most all of us are afraid of anesthesia. It has come a long way from the past though. You are monitored well and nothing is left to chance.  Although things can happen with any surgery, problems are extremely rare today compared to the past. You will speak with an anesthesiologist before hand and they will take everything into account.

If you have had ongoing problems and pain in your arms, hopefully, your ps can get them removed as medical necessity.  Otherwise, many of us have had to foot the bill ourselves. Some were able to get help from a family member, take out a loan, go through the medical office and their med plans, etc. You can't put a price on health.

We'll be wishing you the best with your consult next Wednesday! Make sure they will be removed enbloc. After 14 years they are ready to come out. Here is our recommended surgeon list.

We still are looking for surgeons to recommend in some of the states. We are making headway but are still in short supply of good explant surgeons to recommend. Just make sure to ask the right questions and go with your gut. We are here to try and help. Do not blame yourself. We were not told the truth. Welcome to the forum and we will be happy to help as we can as you go through this journey.

Big Hugs,
Gracie
