Hi again. I was also told initially it would be a day surgery, but the nurse confirmed it's always an overnight stay. I'm in Northampton, and I stayed in the Three Shires. I was totally pampered. The food is also surprisingly tasty, so I was even more happy with my stay.

I didn't have drains, aside from a bit of swelling on the right side the next day, I had no problems other than some pain and tenderness, which was normal. Please bear in mind, though, that my explantation was extremely straightforward so I would suggest making a list of your concerns and ask Adrian while he's examining you. I'm sure you thought of that, but if you're anything like me, all your questions will fall out of your head when you're there! D'oh! They are happy to answer any questions after the consult though, so don't worry if you do forget any.

With regards to support, pick the people you trust the most. It helps so much to have people or even just one person who you can talk to, or have a good moan to if you're feeling a bit cack. Wishing you all the best for tomorrow, and please let us know how you got on! x
